Mahama wanted to make me poor – JOY

Independent presidential candidate in the 2012 and 2016 general elections, Jacob Osei Yeboah, has recounted his ordeal with the out gone National Democratic Congress (NDC).

According to the calm looking electronic engineering expert, the umbrella family under the immediate past President, John Dramani Mahama, wanted to make him a poor man by target his properties for destruction.

The akatamansonians, he alleged, had wanted him to be part of their family but was finding it very difficult to convince him.

The only available option to the NDC, he noted, was to destroy his properties and render him poor with the belief that he will have a change of mind to join the party on his own volition.

Interacting with Fiifi Banson on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.5 FM, Monday, JOY, as he is affectionately called in the political circles, noted the immediate past government did a lot of things against him but decided not to voice them out because of his love for the country.

“I am telling you for the first time … I had taken some ministers of State to Germany to study their national identification system. Whilst leading the discussions, my land and wall were being broken down. When I returned, I learnt it was one Adongo who did that. Who gave him that authority to do that? The matter was referred to the IGP but up till now nothing has been heard of the case. They said they wanted to show this guy. Even if you want me to come and join your party, why should you destroy my things for me to go bankrupt to force me to come and join you” he quizzed?.

What he went through, he said, wasn’t in support of some top echelons of the umbrella family but could do little to save him.

“There were some top NDC guys who were advising them not to do this to this guy because he doesn’t deserve it. But they didn’t listen. Not even the President,” he added.
